How to properly plunge a toilet

Ever wondered how to plunge a toilet? This video provides a comprehensive and informative tutorial. If your toilet is clogged and plunging doesn't work, try 1/4 of Dawn dish soap into the bowl and let it sit for a few hours. 

How to clean your aerator

Does your faucet have low water pressure? Don't forget to clean your aerators and shower heads using white vinegar. Many water systems contain minerals that can cause buildup, so it is essential to clean them every 6-12 months.

Ways to Stop a Supply Water Leak:

1. Turn off the main water supply


2. Identify the source of the leak


3. Identify the type of pipe/fitting, etc. 


4. Call a plumber if the problem persists.

Pour half a cup of baking soda, followed by half a cup of white vinegar, down the drain of concern. Let the baking soda and vinegar sit for 15-20 minutes, then flush the drain with one liter or four cups of hot water.  This method is safe for all pipes and is most effective with minor clogs.
